Manage your profile and notifications
Your Profile contains personal settings for the current workspace. These settings apply to you, not your colleagues.
Add your role and focus#
Open your account menu, choose Profile, and add:
- Your role, such as “Category Manager, Snacks.”
- What you're focused on, such as growth targets, priority accounts, categories, or current decisions.
Save the changes. Signal uses this as soft context when framing answers and recommendations. A direct instruction in your prompt still takes priority.
Update your focus when responsibilities or quarterly priorities change. This is more effective than repeating the same background in every request.
Choose notification channels#
Open Profile, then Notifications. Choose whether Signal should reach you in the browser, by email, or in an email digest.
You can set in-app and email preferences for events such as:
- Task completed, failed, or needs input.
- Report published or failed to publish.
- Dataset loaded or failed to load.
- Calendar reminders.
Save your preferences after changing them. A daily digest can reduce noise while preserving a regular check-in; immediate email is more useful for failures and questions that block a Task.
Slack and Microsoft Teams destinations are configured for the workspace, not in your personal Profile.
Review learned techniques#
Signal may propose a private learned technique based on how you complete repeated work. Open Learned skills to review each proposal before it becomes active.
- Approve a proposal that accurately captures how you want similar work handled.
- Reject a lesson drawn from a one-off situation.
- Disable an active technique temporarily.
- Delete one that is obsolete.
Open the source Task and review proposed changes before approving. Learned techniques are personal and remain under your control.
Account identity#
Your display name and email come from your sign-in account and are read-only in Signal. Copy the account identifier from Profile when your Signal contact asks for it during support.
