Choose an answer or a Task
Use Work Chat to inspect evidence and start a Task when fresh analysis or a deliverable is needed.
Choose an answer or a Task
Start in Work → Chat and describe the decision you need help with. Signal can inspect available evidence, answer directly, or start a Task in the same conversation.
Use Chat to inspect and explain#
Chat can search Knowledge and accessible earlier work, read attached files, find registered datasets, and preview a small sample of rows. It is useful for explaining a report, checking available columns, and sharpening a brief.
A dataset preview contains at most 50 rows. It cannot establish a full-dataset total, ranking, or forecast.
Use a Task for larger work#
A Task handles fresh calculations, joined data analysis, scenarios, external research, and generated reports, decks, dashboards, or files. Say whether you want the answer in the conversation or an output to keep.
For example: "Compare retailer pricing and promotion depth over the last 13 weeks, then make slides recommending the actions with the greatest margin upside."
Stay in the conversation#
Signal can launch the Task directly, ask about an unclear output format, and show progress in Chat. Reply to a clarification in its question card. When finished, the Task returns an answer or a deliverable you can open beside the conversation.
Ask for changes to existing work in the same thread. Signal can follow up on that Task rather than start a duplicate.
