Calendar

Use the Calendar

Add commercial events, create recurring dates, filter a busy month, and receive reminders.

Use the Calendar

The Calendar gives your workspace a shared view of commercial dates. It helps explain the timing behind performance changes and keeps deadlines visible before they become urgent.

Understand event types#

  • Promos covers campaigns, retailer activity, and launches.
  • Contracts covers renewals, signatures, and commercial deadlines.
  • Planning covers reviews, submissions, range resets, and team milestones.
  • Personal is visible only to you.

Promos, Contracts, and Planning are shared with the workspace. Any member can create and maintain them, so edit shared events with care.

Add an event#

  1. Open Calendar and select New event, or select a day.
  2. Add a title and choose the event type.
  3. Make it all-day or set start and end times.
  4. Add a description with the context people will need later.
  5. Save the event.

If you leave a new event without saving, Signal can restore the recent draft when you return. Edits to an existing event are not saved as drafts.

Repeat an event#

Turn on Repeats, choose daily, weekly, or monthly, then set the interval and end condition. Use this for recurring trading meetings, submission dates, or review cycles.

For monthly events near the end of a month, check how shorter months are handled before saving a long series.

Filter a busy month#

Use the event-type filters above the month grid to hide or show categories. Signal remembers your filter selection. If a day has more events than fit in the cell, select the “more” indicator to see the full list.

Use the month and year control to jump to a distant planning period rather than moving one month at a time.

Set reminders#

Open Reminders to choose when Signal should notify you before calendar events. Calendar reminders also need to be enabled in your personal notification preferences.

The Calendar uses UK local time. Be especially careful with timed events if you are working in another timezone.

Calendar events and reporting periods#

The main Calendar contains events and reminders. Retailer and fiscal calendar definitions live in Entity Hub and are used to interpret reporting periods. See Use Entity Hub.
